A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol is a classic holiday tale that’s been told in many different ways. It’s been made into plays, movies, comic books, and even a Broadway musical. One of our favorite retellings is Disney’s A Christmas Carol.

The story begins with the ghost of Jacob Marley, who warns Scrooge to change his ways or he will be doomed to drag around chains in the afterlife. The second ghost is that of the Ghost of Christmas Past, who takes him on a tour through his past, showing him how he treated others and what could have been had he not been so selfish and greedy. The third ghost is the Ghost of Christmas Present, who shows him how people are celebrating Christmas despite his misdeeds, and even includes a visit from Bob Cratchit’s family. Finally, there is the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come; this ghost shows Scrooge how all people will remember him after he dies: as an old man who lived alone and made other people miserable because of his greediness and indifference toward others’ needs. After all this has happened, Scrooge realizes that if he does not change now then he will suffer for eternity when he dies—and decides to become kinder and more generous toward those around him

Mickey’s A Christmas Carol is another great option for anyone who loves seeing Mickey Mouse interact with his fellow Disney characters (and his own family!). This movie will make you laugh and cry as it tells the story of how Santa Claus lost his faith in humanity, but regained it when he saw what was happening in his workshop.

And then there’s A Nashville Christmas Carol—a fun take on Dickens’ classic story that follows Chip and Dale as they try to save a cynical businessman from himself by showing him just how wonderful life can be when people are willing to give up their time and resources for others.
